Word of Mouth

The Word of Mouth Team can offer training packages tailored to meet the diverse needs of every person working with children with speech, language and communication difficulties (e.g. parents, teachers, nursery staff, health professionals).

Examples of training we can provide are:

●  Communication workshops for parents e.g. we can lead interactive sessions at local childrens centres

●  Information sessions explaining the process of speech and language development and the most useful strategies to enhance communication

●  Augmentative and alternative communication e.g. signing, use of objects and pictures

We also provide training on the following nationally and internationally recognised courses:

●  Cued Articulation

●  Hanen – ‘It Takes Two to Talk’ and ‘Learning Language and Loving It’

●  ICAN – School Talk

●  Sign to your baby

Word of Mouth Speech and Language Therapists will provide training at a nursery or school setting.  The preferred time slot is 4pm – 6pm or on inset days where all staff can be trained together. We aim to meet the needs of groups of staff working full-time with children, who are not always able to access training. Prices for training packages/presentations will be supplied on application.
